The Governor has issued a Stay at Home order that began Saturday, March 21 at 5:00 p.m. through Tuesday, April 7.  During that time residents are being asked to stay in their homes to help slow the spread of COVID-19. According to Governor Pritzker's Shelter in Place Executive Order, essential businesses will remain open to provide services that are vital to the lives of Illinoisans. Those businesses include, but are not limited to, groceries, pharmacies, gas stations, certain government offices, and restaurants providing take-out meals. Non-essential businesses should not be open.

As the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) expands, the Village of Round Lake continues to monitor the situation with federal, state and local leaders, and will attempt to keep residents apprised of the most recent information. Below, you will find resources available to help answer questions people may have regarding the Coronavirus.

FAQ Regarding the Executive Order

The Governor’s Office is in the process of collecting and responding to questions regarding the state’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak. To help facilitate the process, they have created an email address,, where citizens may send questions, comments and recommendations. The Governor’s staff will then compile all inquiries and respond with answers.

Bars and Restaurants
Governor Pritzker has issued an executive order that all bars and restaurants in the state close to dine-in customers beginning March 16, and continuing through March 30. This has been done for your safety in order to limit close gatherings of large numbers of people.  We are very aware of the impact that this will cause both operationally and financially to our local businesses. We will do everything we can to support our businesses during this time.  We urge those who can patronize our businesses through take-out or delivery to continue to do so.

Grocery Stores
Grocery and liquor stores are still open and operational. Food is available and grocers have assured us that supplies continue to be delivered to our stores. Please buy what you need but remember your neighbors and be a good citizen by not over-buying.
We will continue to monitor developments and will keep you informed of any changes. We are always ready to serve you online!
Thank you for your continued support. Stay healthy!
